Attend an Event
Comedy for a Cure is set to return for its 18th straight year on Sunday, April 7, 2019. Last year was one of this event’s most successful, and we have plans to continue that momentum! Comedy for a Cure has taken place at seven different locations over its long history, and in 2019, we will find another new home since The Globe Theatre has been demolished to make way for another Universal Studios adventure. We’re exploring an exciting list of new possibilities, which we expect will continue to add to the event’s success. Comedy for a Cure has developed a fabulous Comedian Committee that meets every year to kick off planning for the evening’s talent lineup. This committee is chaired by Jim O’Heir, and members include Shane Brady, Mo Collins, Kate Flannery, Wendy Liebman, Melissa Peterman, Craig Shoemaker, Jimmy Shubert and Alex Skuby. This committee has proved to be a priceless asset to the TS Alliance.
Step Forward To Cure TSC® Walk Series
Step Forward to Cure TSC is the TS Alliance’s largest and fastest-growing event series, organized in more than 35 communities across the United States. Each year, more than 10,000 individuals from across the country raise awareness and funds for tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) research, education and other programmatic services by supporting the Step Forward to Cure TSC movement. In 2017, the theme for the Step Forward to Cure TSC walks continues to salute our Super Heroes. Individuals, families, friends and supporters are all encouraged to participate dressed like their favorite hero – be it a cartoon character, comic book character, doctor, teacher or other caring supporter. We urge you to become one of the heroes of the TS Alliance. Find a walk near year and register online at www.StepForwardtoCureTSC.org.

The local event planning committee determined a change of seasons and a weekend setting would take this fabulous event to the next level. A special shout out goes to the locally grown talent, Chris Hawkey, Kat Perkins and Melissa Peterman, who continue to provide us with awesome support, drive and a personal commmitment to the success of Minnesota Sound Bites.
