Short Bio/Connection to TSC: After graduating from Elon University with a degree in Corporate Communications, I had a 12 year career in the electronic healthcare industry.  When our daughter Brynleigh was born I became a stay at home mom.  Brynleigh was diagnosed at 9 1/2 months with TSC and even with my electronic healthcare background had never heard the diagnosis of Tuberous Sclerosis Complex.  Since her diagnosis, my husband and I were quickly connected with the TS Alliance and began volunteering, advocating, marching for federal funding on Capitol Hill, participating in the National Step Forward to Cure TSC walk, fundraising and much more.  We are so thankful for the TS Alliance and all of the TSC families we have met.  We have completely dedicated ourselves to making a difference in not only Brynleigh’s life and all who are affected by TSC.

Short Bio/Connection to TSC: I am originally from southeastern Michigan and have a B.S. in Construction Management from Eastern Michigan University.  In 2009, I relocated to Maryland where I work as a project manager for a commercial construction company. My husband Lonnie and I got married in 2013, and our son Owen was born in 2015.  When Owen was 5 weeks old, he started having some facial “twitches” (later determined to be seizures); and at 9 weeks old, he was diagnosed with Infantile Spasms.  At 10 weeks old, after brain MRI and echocardiogram, he was diagnosed with TSC. I have been fortunate to connect with other TSC families who have helped my family navigate the various aspects of TSC, and I am eager to help more families.
