EVENTS MENU

Below is a list of events that volunteers have organized or participated in on behalf of the TS Alliance. If you are interested in organizing a special event in your community, please review the following list for event ideas. If you would like to discuss your event idea, please call (800) 225-6872.

Community-Based Special Events

Garage Sales

Organize your neighborhood, school or community to donate items and host a garage sale. Garage sales can generate anywhere from $200 to $5,000 with a relatively low expense ratio. Discover how easy it is to raise money for the TS Alliance in your neighborhood or community by organizing a garage sale to support our cause.

Golf Tournaments

Golf continues to provide an opportunity for avid golf enthusiasts and TS Alliance supporters to enjoy a day of golf while raising money for a worthy cause. Golfers enjoy participating in tournaments to benefit a charity because often these tournaments are held on private courses that a golfer may not have access to on a regular basis. An event guide is available to help you plan a successful tournament.

Themed Dinners

Dinners can be an elegant black-tie affair, an evening with a comedian or themed in conjunction with a holiday (St. Patrick’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Halloween, etc.) Dinners also provide an opportunity for additional profit centers such as a live and/or silent auction. Charity dinners can easily raise anywhere from $10,000 to $100,000 based on the market you want to target. Contact the TS Alliance if you are interested in learning how you can plan a successful dinner in your area.

Other

Please keep in mind that many other opportunities are available based on your interests and contacts. Click here to download our Fundraising Ideas document that gives you a variety of creative ways fundraise.

National Events

By participating in a national event, you do not have to organize the event from A-Z. Instead you can take action and make a difference by being a participant in the campaigns listed below:

Step Forward to Cure TSC® Walkathons

Learn how simple it is to organize a Step Forward to Cure TSC walkathon in your community. Walks are a great way to motivate a community and generate funds for the TS Alliance. The key to a successful walk is RECRUITMENT, RECRUITMENT, and RECRUITMENT. The TS Alliance can provide you with simple strategies to ensure that your walk is a successful fundraiser.  For more information, contact Dee Triemer at (800) 225-6872 or dtriemer@tsalliance.org.

Stamp Out TSC Writing Campaign

For this easy fundraiser, TS Alliance supporters simply canvass the country with letters to request a donation on behalf of the TS Alliance. Letter-writing, holiday card and/or email campaigns are a fun and easy way to raise funds and awareness about TSC and are successful because friends are asking friends to support them in their fund-raising efforts. After all, if a friend or family member wrote to you and asked for a few dollars, wouldn’t you give a donation to them for a great cause?
